Tips for Video Blogging

Tips for Video Blogging
So you've decided to give your fingers a rest and put your best face forward.  You want to get involved in video blogging, and why not, it is a great way to connect with your audience and provide them with interesting information in half the time it would normally take them to read it.  However, when you have decided to make a video blog, there are several things that you must remember.  These tips will allow you to have a video blog that individuals actually want to see, and it will keep your blog interesting and informative.
The first of these tips is to make sure that you keep all of your video blog entries short.  In most cases you will want to keep your blog in the range of one to three minutes.  If you feel that you have much more to say than in this short time span, simply, create a sequel to your first blog.  But remember, you will not want to keep your blog longer than four minutes, because many people that are watching video blogs are not there for thirty minutes.  They want to be entertained in a short amount of time, and then move on.  This is why having more video blog entries is better than having fewer, longer entries.
The next step is to talk about a story that is interesting.  Even if your story is just about what happened to you at the grocery store today, make sure that you have a beginning, middle and end.  However, again if you feel your story would take longer than the suggested amount of time, either don't talk about it or make it into a multi-post story.  Many video bloggers will not only write about their story, but they will also include a video that helps describe the story.
A good example of this is say you saw the strangest dog in the entire world today while walking down the street.  Upon seeing it you took a short fifteen second video.  After you have finished writing about the dog, you can include the video to allow your readers to see exactly what you saw.  Videos are much more powerful than photos, because the video actually places you in a moving scene, instead of a stagnant one.
Of course, this next tip is something that everyone should follow.  When you are recording your video blog, make sure that there is no background noise.  There is nothing more annoying than hearing a strange noise when the speaker is trying to talk.  Many times, individuals will tune out what you're trying to say, and will focus on the background noise, or they will simply leave your blog.  Also, make sure that you utilize close-ups instead of longer distanced shots.  This is because when you are talking into a camera, the viewer wants to clearly see who is speaking to them.
It's the same concept as in real life, you wouldn't listen to a person who was trying to give you information from across the room, so don't set up your video blog to where you are distanced from the camera.  A good way to discover if you are at the correct distance from the camera is by looking at the screen and making sure that only your chest and up is visible.  You don't want to show your whole torso, because you would be too far away for the viewers.
And remember, always use good lighting.  Don't sit in front of a window that has the sun shining through it, always face your lighting, and never have a backlight for video blogging.

How Happy are those in their 60’s with their Sex Life

How Happy are those in their 60’s with their Sex Life?

It may surprise you to find out how happy many people in their 60’s are with their sex life. This is due to people living longer lives than ever before due to effective health care. We also know how important it is to take care of our bodies. Sex isn’t something that has to go out the window just because you have aged. In fact, more people that are 60 years of age or older are having a great time with it than you might think.
The act of those over 60 enjoying sex isn’t something new though like many people think. What has changed though is that there is more freedom to talk about it and to express information about it. You can even find places online where these people are talking about their sexual feelings and experiences. There are also many people in this age group still dating.
Since they are on the dating scene, it is reasonable to expect that they will one day take those relationships to another level. They can have a very satisfying sexual lifestyle that helps keep them both young and vibrant. In fact, there is information to suggest that the more sexually active individuals are as they get older the happier they will be.
Not everyone in this age group is happy with their sex life though. Women tend to have more problems with it then men. This is because there are more women in those older age groups than men. Not all of them are comfortable being with younger men due to how they feel society is going to see it. Yet there is really nothing wrong with it if both parties are happy with the relationship.
For males, the inability to maintain an erection is the number one reason why they aren’t happy with their sex life in their 60’s. Yet there are many ways in which this problem can be resolved. Most doctors can help men get to the core of the issue and then let them know what options they have. Just because a person is older and things aren’t working on their own like they one did doesn’t mean you have to let it continue to be that way.
Being sexually intimate is a great way to for older individuals to feel that they are loved and appreciated. They certainly don’t want to be lonely as they get older. Even if they do have friends and family, nothing can make you feel as wonderful as the respect and admiration from someone else. It is a good feeling to know someone desires you sexually as well.
Don’t under estimate the power of having a sex life you are happy with at any age. It can only become more rewarding as an individual gets older. If you are over 60 and not happy with your sex life, then you do have the power to change it. Take an honest look at what you are happy with and what you aren’t.
Once you have done this, evaluate what can be done to change it. These factors will fall into one of three categories – what you can do on your own, what you can do with your partner, and what you can change with the help of your doctor. Those things you can change on your own include your attitude towards sex, your feelings towards your body, and getting into touch with your feelings.
You can make sex more rewarding when you are older by asking your partner to tell you what they need to make it more pleasurable. At the same time, express what the do that turns you on and what you need more of. If you find you don’t enjoy sex like you used to then you should speak to your doctor about what can be done.

How to Write a Speech

How to Write a Speech
You cannot excel at public speaking without a good speech.  If you are asked to give a speech or its required for work or school, you know that when you stand up there to give that presentation, you are going to have to have a well organized outline and content to get through it and impress those listening.  Sometimes the fear of an upcoming speaking engagement comes from that writers block that happens when you have to write a good speech.
Writing a speech is not exactly like writing a term paper or a report.  The reason is simple.  What you actually "write" is not intended to be read.  It will be heard.  You don’t have to worry about good spelling or the other conventions of writing a paper because it might never see the light of day.  If you are new to writing speeches, it might be best to write it out like a paper so you can hear it being said in your head.
But many times experienced speakers write a speech in the form of an outline based on a defined structure and then they hang the detail off of the structure.  The detail is the content and the substance of the speech which makes up why your speech has value.  It can include quotations, facts, historical references, scientific statistics, whatever you need to support the theme of your speech.
Now how you organize your speech may be determined by what kind of speech it is.  And what kind of speech it is can be defined by what you hope to achieve.  So a speech might be designed to convince, to sell, to entertain or to inform.  Many times a speech can be a combination of these forms.  But you should define what your expected outcome so you know if you have achieved your goal by the time the composition of the speech is done.  Having that overriding goal well in mind helps in how you organize your speech.
The skeleton of a  good speech is similar to a paper.  But lay out each section and allocate your time accordingly even before you write the speech.  The components are the introduction, the opener, the personal introduction, the statement of the "problem", three to five points of the body of the speech, the summary and the closer or the call for action again depending on the purpose of the speech.
For the opener, its good to use something that brings the audience to you.  Its good to greet them warmly and seek a greeting in response.  Some anecdote about the hall or the weather even can get the talk off on the right foot.  Then go into your personal information but making sure what you tell relates to why you are the one here giving this talk.  Keep every aspect of the presentation relevant to the central theme.
The problem statement can be phrased as a question.  A good speech is like a good story because you must create a problem and then solve it.  If you are going to discuss tricks for using Microsoft PowerPoint, start out talking about problems using the software with illustrations about catastrophes that have been caused by that lack of understanding.  As much as possible keep the problem relevant your listeners.  Then move directly from there to presenting the body of your work in an organized way.  Make sure you have three to five solid points.  Tell them what they are, tell them the points and then tell them what you just said.  That cements your presentation in their minds.
The conclusion is often a summary of what was just said.  Its good to close with humor as well.  But you may also use the final summary of your talk for any call to action you may have in mind for this audience.  If they enjoyed your speech, they want to know what you want them to do, even if they are not going to go do that.  It just gives a nice ending to the discussion.  Thank them for their time and close.  But stick around because if it was a good talk, you will have questions or people who will want to talk to you about things they thought about afterward.  And if that happens, you know for certain then that you did a good job.
